If it makes you feel any better, I don't like the look of the sword.

You're welcome.

Hi Nian...

Thanks for the 411. I just went searching for information on the net about the "Poor Man's Copyright," and learned that it may help in a lawsuit in the UK, and the Dutch copyright office advises it on their website, but it is not legally binding in the US anymore. That's as far as I got in my research.

When I freelanced, I used to do it as a precaution when I would send concepts to clients. And, at the same time, I would send a copy to the copyright office with an application. That was some time ago though.

KEY WORD: Concept....A concept is an abstract idea. See ..concept car...doesnt mean its going into production.. they take some that bit and some of those bits and THEY go into production....if its concept art from ANET they can do what they like.

I'm sure you can't understand having your work stolen, it’s very serious.
You really are quite rude arent you. If it upsets you that much i would apologise, but seeing as you are being so blatantly offensive, and not seeing how different people are in the way they vocalise or see things, then you can just forget it!
Nothing wrong with sticking up for people, so long as you have the proof its solid evidence, otherwise you end up making yourself look as bigger fool if it turns out wrong.....and you have no proof......if you do ...show it

Call me a bluff old traditionalist but you would have been better off saying "HERE there you go ...those are my entries where are yours" otherwise the point is slightly invalid. The reason I asked was lets see what you did to contribute and we could draw similarities to your work also to thousands of others too. But seeing as you didnt its a moot point.

Nope true enough, but hey thats life ...it happens ...SUMO

There both forms of art, but I guess morons with tunnel vision can't tell that.
lets appraise that shall we. Art is made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind, Beyond this description, there is no general agreed-upon definition of art, since defining the boundaries of "art" is subjective.
See that last word there....subjective...you as an artist should be able to hold you own against critical words. Manga doesnt do it for me, my opinion, im critical about it. yo sound like somone who cannot take critisism at all

Don't use other examples of stealing to justify this is okay. I'm not sure what kind of ideals you have. All I’m hearing is "everyone else does it, why not just steal everyone’s ideas!"
no you are not, you are hearing support if it could be warranted. ITS MINE doesnt cut it...prove it and you could get more support. It looks the same ...doesnt cut it....my car has 4 wheels and some seats. They are similar. go check on say...Volkswagen Passat and a Skoda Superb....pretty much the same car but different companies...same conceptual ideas etc.

think its time to close this -.-
And your proof of this is.....?? have you any of the concept drawings from ANET?..
Are you simply taking the word of one person without seeing evidence against it?......seems so. Theres balanced reasoning!

Before you come on spouting your mouth off to people and being particularly rude about it.....step back and take a look at how your stance was in your first post. It was straight for the throat, not even thinking about similarities or other avenues and reasoning. so yeah...im going to be pompous to someone who is pretentious who has not one jot of FACTUAL evidence that this was a copy
And SUMO, sales jargon for Shut Up Move On...used when there isnt a thing you can do except move on and overcome the odds.
If this has got your back up, then well im sorry, its difficult to express on a forum to be honest, but check back..you were exceptionally rude and offensive....there ive apologised ...now its your turn

/agrees.

This is really the OP wanting some assurance from Anet. It is mainly between the both of them "privately", and the OP just wanted feedback from the guru community on it.

Wouldnt you (yourselves) want to know "who" and how the ingame sword was submitted if you were in the same situation? (again not publicly in here)

If someone got credit of your own work, you would be shocked too. The OP just wants some clarity.

It could end up not being his or just pure coincedence, but c'mon look at them. Again, OP just wants some answers, let 'em get it...

/should be closed.

/There's two sides to everything...

I'm going to treat this as we do scam accusation threads, in the sense that this thread is already getting a mite personal, and forum members' opinions matter little in action being taken.
I strongly urge you, if you have not already, to contact support to see if you can get your issue resolved, though I don't even have a clue which segment you should be writing to. I believe this issue is actually fairly unique.

Regardless of whether or not a thread is closed, but especially if it is, please feel free to PM posters if you have additional information, support, or answers to questions that could not be resolved in the thread.
